Jack Riderr,a member of the Johor Hacking Crew has defaced a total of 48 websites last week.Among these,38 are .co.uk domain names.No graphical deface page was uploaded by the hacker this time,a plain white page with the following message:

OpUSA: 20+ Websites Defaced By Afghan Cyber Army

Members of the hacking group Afghan Cyber Army have deface 27 American websites last week.The same deface page was uploaded on all the websites hacked.

Dutchman Arrested As Suspect In Biggest DDoS Attack Of Internet History

Last month we assisted one of the largest DDoS attack of the internet history.In this attack,Spamhaus was bombarded with large amount of data.This attack also slowed linked network.Since then,the police have been investigating.
A 35 year old Dutchman was arrested by the police Barcelona under a European arrest warrant as he is being suspected of taking part in a massive DDoS attack against the anti-spam group Spamhaus back in March.His computer and mobile phone have been seized for further investigation and the Dutchman will soon be extradited to the Netherlands.
A Spamhaus spokesman said: "Spamhaus is delighted at the news that an individual has been arrested and is grateful to the Dutch police for the resources they have made available and the way they have worked with us,"
The identity of the man has not been published but the BBC wrote "is believed to be Sven Kamphuis, the owner and manager of Dutch hosting firm Cyberbunker" .Authorities in the Netherlands, UK, and US have been working together to investigate this attack.

Australian Federal Police Arrest LulzSec Hacking Group Leader

The Australian Federal Police arrested, Matthew Flannery, a 24 year old man this Tuesday in the town of Point Clare.The man arrested is known by 'Aush0k' online and is the leader of the hacking group Lulzsec.The hacker is responsible for defacing government websites.The police said in a press conference that Flannery took advantage of known exploit to penetrate website and once in,he added a backdoor so that he can get access later.Matthew is a support technician at IT security provider Content Security.
Manager Cyber Crime Operations Commander Glen McEwen said “Those thinking of engaging in such activities should be warned that hacking, creating or propagating malicious viruses or participating in Distributed Denial of Service attacks are not harmless fun,”

Indian hackers Yamraaj and 404 !-!@!2$!-!@ defaced several Bangladeshi websites lately.Reason? Members of Pakistan Haxor Crew Defacing More Indian Websites

Since several weeks,Pakistani hackers from Pakistan Haxor Crew are defacing Indian websites.66 websites were defaced last week and the week before,over 100 websites.Seeing this,we decided to ask the founder of PHC the reasons for such acts by them.

Several sub-domain of the official Mercedes-Benz Austria Website were defaced by a hacker going by the name of Zifir,who is a member of the Turkish hacking group TurkishAjan.The same deface page was uploaded on each sub-domain.By now,when visiting these URL,users are been redirected to another webpage of the website.The following message was posted on the defaced websites:

66 More Indian Websites Defaced By Pakistani Hackers

Three Pakistani hackers, Hunter, Nadan Shahzada and Zaryab have defaced 66 Indian websites today.Each of them uploaded their personal deface page on the websites they attacked.Last week,two other hackers of the Pakistan Haxor Crew defaced over 100 websites. By the time of publishing, most of the websites were already restored.Mirrors has been provided below for readers who wants to see how the websites looked at the time of defacement.

Anonymous: CISPA Internet Blackout April 22nd

 
Anonymous posted a video on YouTube on April 18, 2013 to announce about an operation which they named as #CISPABlackout. Along with this video,they posted a message to explain about the operation.

Six Nepali government websites,among which,the Nepal Law Commission website(www.lawcommission.gov.np), have been defaced by hacker going by the name of Shockwave Khan, a member of the Muslim Cyber Sh3ll'z hacking group.The same deface page was uploaded on all websites with a logo of the hacking group.At the time of publishing,all the websites were still defaced.

Sony Lulzsec Hacker Sentenced For 1 Year

Cody Andrew Kretsinger, 25 year old lulzsec member was sentenced on Thursday for one year for his involvement in the 2011 cyberattack.Another hacker from the same group, Ryan Ackroyd, pleaded guilty last week.Cody will also also serve a year of home detention after this one year in prison.Adding to this,he will also do 1000 hours of community services and will have to pay $605,000 (463,000 EUR) in restitution. Raynaldo Rivera,another hacker from the same group will be sentenced in two days by the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California as he also pleaded guilty for his participation with Lulzsec.

Indian Server Hacked By Orionshunter Of BD Black Hat Hackers

Since long we have not seen 'Orionshunter' defacing websites.On the 9th of April 2013,he posted a document on pastebin where he listed a series of Indian websites which he has defaced.The document is titled as "INDIAN SERVER HACKED BY ORIONSHUNTER OF BBHH". Most of these websites have already been restored but the hacker provided mirrors of how the websites were at the time of defacement.

Bank of Mauritius Warns The Public Against Scams

Through a communiqué published on the 10th of April 2013 at 14hr30, the Bank of Mauritius has warned the general public to be cautious about a scam which is circulating,in which,scammers are using the logo of the organization as well as the photograph of a member to deceive people in providing their personal information.
The scam states that a huge sum of money would be transferred to their bank account after they obtain necessary documents.If these documents are not provided,the money will be sent as abandoned fund to the "Mauritius Fund Security Vault". The Bank of Mauritius,through this communique has asked the public not to send any money,document,or disclose any information related to bank account to the scammers.When doing so,the scammers may use these information to do other criminal acts,such as identity theft or even cause financial loss to the person whose information has been sent.If anyone thinks that he/she has been scammed,they must immediately report this to the police.

British Lulzsec Hacker Pleads Guilty

Ryan Ackroyd,26, pleaded guilty to one count of computer hacking.He admitted that he was part of the group which was targeting websites of high-profile companies like Nintendo, News International, 20th Century Fox, Sony Group and the NHS. He was know as 'Kayla'.
Earlier,three other British members,Mustafa Al-Bassam, 18, from Peckham, Jake Davis, 20, from Lerwick and Ryan Cleary, 21, of Essex pleaded guilty for computer hacking and all four will be sentence next month.

Royal Dutch Shell Blog Database Leaked By Brazilian Electronic Army

In an operation called #OpFuelStrike, members of the Brazilian Electronic Army have leaked the database of Royal Dutch Shell websites through a pastebin document.The document consists of a brief explanation about this attack which goes as follows:

Beware of The Fake WhatsAppMauritiusLicenceRenewalService Facebook Fan Page

While browsing through Facebook today,we came across a new Whatsapp Facebook fan page titled as 'Whatsapp Mauritius Licence Renewal Service'. Several Mauritian were liking the page.As it was related to the renewal of the mobile messenger application,we were about to like the page too and follow the steps provided on it.To our surprise,we noticed that through the steps provided,a Google mail account was given for users to send their payment URL.We decided to get a better understanding of what really was going on.Going back to step one,they asked the user to mail them their name and phone number and on step three,they asked the user to send their payment URL to the same email address,which was,"renewmylicence@gmail.com". We immediately suspected that this was scam and contacted WhatsApp to alert them about this issue.They responded back by stating that this was really a scam and have contacted Facebook.

17-year-old Suspected Anonymous Member Charged With Hacking

A 17 year old young from Australia is suspected of being a member of anonymous and was charged with unauthorized access to computer data.According to the Australian Federal Police,the juvenile has committed serious offences on behalf fo Anonymous.
Commander Glen McEwen, Manager Cybercrime Operations, said
"Protesting through computer intrusions and website defacements is not an appropriate method to raise public awareness about any issue,"
The young 'Anonymous member' is charged with:
  • Six counts of unauthorized modification of data to cause impairment
  • One count of unauthorized access with intent to commit a serious offence
  • One count of possession of data with intent to commit a computer offence
  • 12 counts of unauthorized access to restricted data.

The youth will have to appear again in the Parramatta Children's Court on the 17 May 2013.

After leaking data from Uriminzokkiri.com some days back,Anonymous hackers have now released another document through pastebin where they have added 9001 records of the North Korean propaganda website,which is hosted in China.In that same document,special messages were added for Kim jong-un, United states government and citizens, Korean Government and Citizens and Media.By now,this pastebin document has received a total of 19,715 hits.
Adding to this,the twitter account @uriminzok has been hijacked where tweets of defacement has been posted.
