Swiss Bank Hacker Arrested In Thailand
Moroccan hacker, Mohamed Yassine Gharib, has been arrested
in Bangkok on Friday. He was on the wanted list of Swiss police for hacking in
bank accounts in Switzerland. Around $18 million was stolen from customers'
accounts by the hacker along with 10 other people. Mr Gharib has been staying
in different hotels in Bangkok to escape police arrest and he forgot his
passport in a hotel in Ratchachamnoen area. He was arrested by the police at
the moment he went to pick it up. The hacker's Thai girlfriend who was with him
at the time has been placed under protection as a witness.
