Indonesia Intending To Create A Cyber Army

Indonesian defense ministry is planning to set up a special department called 'cyber army'. The main aim of this department will deal with all the cyber attack against the government's websites.Pos M. Hutabarat, director general of security potentials at the ministry, said on Tuesday, that it is urgent to create a law for the cyber army in Indonesia.This cyber army will consists of uniformed soldiers,trained on information technologies and who know techniques about how to prevent these attacks.Indonesian Defense Minister Purnomo Yusgiantoro said that the cyber army unit will be embedded in the navy,the army and also the air force.

Liberty Reserve Closed After Founder Arrested

Liberty Reserve's founder, Arthur Budovsky Belanchuk was arrested in Spain on Friday.Investigators stated that Mr Arthur's business in Costa Rica,including Liberty Reserve,were used to launder money for drug trafficking and pornography websites.Liberty reserve was known for easily converting US dollars into Bitcoins and vice versa.Brian Krebs, a cybercrime expert said that Liberty Reserve was one of the most popular way of making payment in the “cybercrime underground.” It seems that after the shut down on Liberty Reserve,many underground forum will face difficulty as most of them were using this service to transfer their money.

Anonymous Suspects Arrested In Italy

Four suspected hackers were arrested on Friday by the Italian Police.They are accused of being in control if the Italian branch of Anonymous network.The hackers are aged between 20 and 34.Investigators said that the group was responsible for cyberattacks on commercial and government websites, including sites belonging to the Vatican, the Italian prime minister’s office, the defense ministry, the police, Bank of Italy and the national railway company Trenitalia.
The suspects ate accused of using the internet for criminal conspiracy and this is the first time such a charge has been used in Italy.If found guilty,the hackers may face up to eight years of imprisonment.

Indian Politicians Hiring Hackers To Spy On Other Candidates

With the coming of the state's elections next year,some Indian politicians are hiring hackers to spy on messages,emails and telephonic conversations of their opponents by hacking into their smartphones.Other politicians are getting worried about this situation.The minister for civil supplies told the Times Of India "I have stopped replying to mails from my usual email Id from my phone and have started using only official mail to only contact my officers,".
N Nityanand, chief technology officer, Entersoft Information systems at Ameerpet said: "These kind of enquiries are becoming common now, especially since elections are round the corner," He said that he was contacted on several occasion by different political parties.

To get control of the smartphones or computers,the hackers write a special code and it in mail or as an application link to the target.When the link is clicked, or the application is run,the hacker gets complete control of the device.

Official MSI Taiwan Hacked By Turkish Ajan Hacker

Turkish Ajan Hacker is once again in the news.Known to be high profile websites hackers,this time they targeted one of the largest computer hardware company, MSI.Several sub-domain were defaced by the hackers and the same defaced page were uploaded on each.At the time of publishing,all the of them were still having the defacement page.Moreover,the database were uploaded on speedyshare.com,a rar file of 4mb, containing 50,000 accounts and other documents.This was announced on their official Twitter account of the hacking group.

Nepal Government Websites Hacked By Pakistani Hacker Dr@cul@

After attacking Indian websites some weeks back,Pakistani hacker going by the name of Dr@cul@ has this time hacked Nepali government websites.A total of six websites have been defaced.The same deface page was uploaded on all the websites with the following message:
"Congratulations Admin You Are HacKeD :P
